US Hybrid to supply powertrains for hybrid and electric street sweepers

USA – US Hybrid, a subsidiary of Ideanomics based in Torrance, California, has agreed to supply electric powertrains to Global Environmental Products (GEP) of San Bernardino, California for installation in 62 zero-emission street sweepers, which will be delivered to cities across the USA.
The supply agreement continues a longstanding partnership between the two companies. In 2009, the two companies launched the first hybrid-electric street sweepers in New York City; in May 2021, this was followed by the city’s first fully-electric street sweepers. For this latest order, US Hybrid will provide a mixture of hybrid and pure electric powertrains.
