American Battery Solutions acquires Tiveni IP

USA – American Battery Solutions Inc (ABS) of Lake Orion, Michigan has acquired the entire intellectual property (IP) portfolio of Tiveni Inc – a battery systems developer based in San Mateo, California and led by Tesla co-founder and former CEO Martin Eberhard – for an undisclosed sum.

The transaction includes more than 100 IP assets, including 24 U.S. patents and 143 pending applications. ABS will incorporate Tiveni’s intellectual property in its development of lower cost and higher energy batteries for electric vehicles, including heavy-duty applications.
