Brazil – September saw CV axle and suspension supplier, Suspensys Sistemas Automotivos Ltda* (Suspensys) of Caxias do Sul (a subsidiary of Randon Companies) celebrate its 25th anniversary and announce a USD3.8 million investment to almost double the company’s trailer axle capacity to 350,000 units a year. Investments also include development of a regenerative traction axle for trailers, called e-Sys - the first regenerative auxiliary electric axle to go into production in Latin America, the company claims.

As part of its 25-year celebrations, Eduardo Dalla Nora, director of Suspensions and Electromobility at Randon Companies said Suspensys had increased its annual production capacity of friction welded axle beams to 350,000 per year, having recently inaugurated (March 2022) a new assembly line in Caxias do Sul. Dalla Nore said Suspensys has invested some BRA20m (USD3.8m) on the new production line, which has been aligned with its Industry 4.0 investment strategy and processes.
