USAHarbinger Motors Inc of Gardena, California and Wabash National Corporation of Lafayette, Indiana have announced that they will collaborate in the development of medium-duty electric vehicles for the last-mile delivery market, bringing together Harbinger Motors’ EV chassis platform and Wabash’s lightweight truck bodies.

The two companies have stated that they aim to produce electric delivery vehicles, transporting dry and refrigerated goods, which will offer increased durability, driveability, and comfort, addressing both the growing market for home delivery and chronic driver shortages. Harbinger Motors, a start-up founded last year, also stands to benefit from Wabash’s national network of dealers, parts, and services.
