pepper motion and Škoda Transportation sign MoU for bus electrification

Germany / Czech Republic – pepper motion GmbH, an electrification specialist based in Denkendorf, Bavaria, Germany, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with bus manufacturer Škoda Transportation a.s. of Plzeň, Czech Republic, agreeing to offer vehicle conversion services for Škoda diesel buses.
In the future, Škoda customers will have the option to convert their diesel buses to electric, using pepper motion’s electric powertrain ‘etrofit’ kit specifically designed for buses. The kit includes axle motors, batteries, auxiliary systems and pepper’s ‘Vehicle Control Unit’ for managing every part. pepper motion’s partnership with Škoda will open up new markets for the retrofit firm, including Eastern Europe and Southeast Europe.
