Allison adds fourth electric axle to eGen Power range

The new Allison eGen Power 130S electric axle

USA / Germany - Allison Transmission Inc, a transmission and e-axle manufacturer, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, at this year’s IAA Transportation event in Hanover, Germany announced the market introduction of the new eGen Power 130S, expanding the company’s eGen Power range of fully electric axles.

Allison representatives at the show explained that the 130S had been designed to support the heavier 13-ton gross axle weight rating, which is often required by commercial vehicles in Europe and Asia Pacific markets. The 130S e-Axle integrates a single motor to generate 225 kilowatts of continuous power, with a peak power of 325 kilowatts and 26,000 newton meters of torque at the wheels and a two-speed gearbox.
