Brazil - Mercedes-Benz do Brasil Ltda of São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil in announcing new bus chassis, compliant to Proncove P8 emission standards, announced the upgrades to the rear-engine O 500 coach chassis models.
Offered with new power outputs and torques of the OM 460 Euro 6 engine, the O 500 coach chassis RS, RSD and RSDD (double deck) models have new transmission options: A new 6-speed Mercedes-Benz GO 230 mechanical transmission and the new ZF Traxon 12-speed automated transmission with improved gear scaling suited to customer requirements.
