Cummins ready for a hydrogen future

USA / Germany – Drivetrain systems manufacturer, Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana, has launched, as a part of what it calls its Destination Zero Initiative, a hydrogen strategy encompassing the production, supply, storage and use of green hydrogen. The announcement took place at the IAA Transportation event in Hanover last month.

This initiative has seen the acquisitions of specialist technology companies and in-house investments over recent years in three key areas: The production of green hydrogen, the management and transportation of hydrogen, and the application of hydrogen in engines and fuel cells.
