DAF starts delivery of the LF Electric truck

DAF LF Electric in AB InBEV 'Bud' delivery

Netherlands – Dutch truck manufacturer, DAF Trucks NV, of Eindhoven, has commenced delivery of its LF Electric battery-powered distribution trucks to Dutch logistics company, Nabuurs, as part of its contract with brewer, AB InBev, for customers in Groningen.

The LF Electric range is suitable for lighter distribution tasks in urban areas, although its maximum gross vehicle weight is rigid truck is 19 tons (wheelbase of 5.30 or 5.85 metres) with a payload allowance of 11,700 kilograms. A 260 kW (370 kW peak capacity) electric motor powered by a 282 kWh (252 kWh effective) cobalt and magnesium-free lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery gives the vehicle a range of up to 280 kilometres.
