Microvast offers customers new battery cell chemistries and battery packs from 2023 at IAA

Microvast's MV-B and MV-C Gen 4 battery packs

Germany / USA - Microvast Holdings Inc of Stafford, Texas, a manufacturer of lithium-ion battery systems used the IAA Transportation 2022 in Hanover, Germany during September to introduce two new battery packs, the MV-B Gen 4 and MV-C Gen 4, for the European commercial vehicle markets.

The two new battery packs contain its high energy and high power cell technologies that were introduced earlier this year. Known as the MpCO-48Ah (high power) and HpCO-53.5Ah (high energy) cells, Microvast states they are available in a similar size and can be integrated easily into the new Gen 4 battery packs. This high-level of compatibility, Microvast adds, allows OEMs to switch battery technology based on operating requirements without significant changes to the powertrain design.
