Shell buys German charging infrastructure company SBRS

Germany / UK  – Multinational oil and gas company Shell plc, headquartered in London, UK, has purchased the German provider of turnkey electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, SBRS GmbH* of Dinslaken for an undisclosed fee. This is part of Shell’s target of operating more than 500,000 charge points (Passenger and CV) globally by 2025. SBRS currently services public transport operators, municipalities and logistics companies in cities including Brussels, Vienna and Cologne. The company will keep its name, office and staff and will continue to operate as a separate entity.
