Mahesh Babu succeeds Dr Andy Palmer as CEO of Switch Mobility

UK Switch Mobility Ltd, a manufacturer of commercial electric vehicles based in Sherburn in Elmet, UK, has announced the promotion of Mahesh Babu to the role of CEO. Babu replaces Dr Andy Palmer, who is stepping down from his active roles at the company, stating his wish to dedicate his time to “a plurality of organisations and projects operating in the EV space.” 

In addition, Dheeraj Hinduja, who is chairman of Ashok Leyland – the parent company of Switch – and member of the family which owns transnational conglomerate Hinduja Group, will take over as Executive Chairman of Switch. He said:
