Germany – Brake manufacturer Knorr-Bremse AG, based in Munich, Germany, has launched new safety technologies in the form of an upgraded all-electric power steering (EPS) system and a new modular SYNACT disc brake, at the IAA Transportation event in Hannover, Germany.

New steering systems for both electric and conventional commercial vehicle applications were on display. The all-electric Electric Power Steering (EPS) system and electrohydraulic Advanced Hybrid Power Steering (AHPS) system enhance road safety and driver comfort through driver assistance functions such as speed-dependent power steering, active lane-keeping assistance and steering-wheel recentering, as well as steering feedback.
