Thermo King to support training programme for refrigeration technicians in France

Belgium / France – Thermo King Europe, a subsidiary of Trane Technologies based in Zaventem, Flemish Brabant, Belgium, has announced it is partnering with refrigerated vehicle leasing firm Petit Forestier SAS of Villepinte, France and the Institut Français de Formation en Énergétique (IFFEN) to offer a work-study training programme for budding young transport refrigeration technicians in France.
The first course, which lasts 14 months, starts in November. It will be based at the IFFEN training centre in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, in the suburbs of Paris (near Petit Forestier’s headquarters). Course materials will be provided by Petit Forestier and Thermo King engineers. Successful candidates will be provided with a certified qualification: Technicien(ne) Froid Embarqué Routier (“Road Embedded Refrigeration Technician”). All graduates have been promised permanent contracts at either a Petit Forestier agency or a Thermo King dealership.
