GermanyProton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH of Puchheim, Bavaria has announced that it has signed a fifteen-year lease on a modern production facility in Fürstenfeldbruck – also in the state of Bavaria. The new site will be used to expand the company’s production of fuel cell systems, designed for various applications including commercial vehicles.

The building is 13,500m2, which is more than twice the size of the company’s current facility in Puchheim (6,000m2), and is located on a 25,700m2 site. Over 10,500m2 of the new building will be dedicated to production, testing and development; the remainder will serve as office space. Proton Motor plan to use the site for sales and marketing and for training as well as for production.
