South Korea / France – Paris-based gas supplier, Air Liquide S.A. has announced it is playing a key role in South Korea’s hydrogen mobility plan through the production, storage, distribution and application of hydrogen across several large-scale projects. This fits within the government’s Hydrogen Economy Roadmap, which aims to produce 6.2 million fuel-cell electric vehicles, 41,000 hydrogen buses and roll out 1,200 hydrogen refuelling stations by 2040.
Air Liquide says it is developing high-pressure liquid hydrogen filling centres for heavy-duty vehicles. In May 2022, Air Liquide and Lotte Chemical entered a joint venture to scale up the hydrogen supply chain in the country by co-investing in a new generation of large-scale hydrogen filling centres in Daesan and Ulsan.
