Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus elects Livia Simões to Board

Brazil - As of January 1, 2023, Livia Simões will be the new vice president of Human Resources at Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus of Resende, Rio de Janeiro. She will succeed Lineu Takayama, who will step down to retire. Simões, whose professional career was built entirely within the commercial vehicle manufacturer, will be the first woman and the youngest executive to join the VWCO Board. 

Simões is 40 years old and has a degree in Production Engineering from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, with specializations in People Management, Leadership and Projects from schools such as ESMT Berlin, the of São Paulo and the Getúlio Vargas and Dom Cabral Foundations. At VWCO for 18 years, Simões began her career as an intern. Today, she is the executive manager of the connectivity platform and digital solutions ‘RIO’ and of New Services VolksCare.
