Renault Trucks to deliver 30 EVs to Coca-Cola

E-Tech D and D Wide trucks delivered by Renault Trucks to Coca-Cola

France / BelgiumRenault Trucks SAS, a subsidiary of the Volvo Group based in Saint-Priest, France, has agreed to provide 30 electric trucks over the next several months to Coca-Cola Europacific Partners plc – a bottling firm based in Uxbridge, UK – to carry out last-mile deliveries in Belgium.

Five E-Tech D and D Wide trucks have already been delivered to Antwerp. The remainder will be delivered to manufacturing and distribution sites in Ghent, East Flanders and Chaudfontaine, Liège. The 30 trucks will comprise one-fifth of Coca-Cola’s Belgian fleet, reportedly making it the largest electric truck fleet in the country. They will be recharged with renewable energy at the company’s depots. Representing a total investment of EUR7m, Coca-Cola hopes to cut its CO2 emissions by 75% compared to diesel trucks. The distributor says the trucks will average 150 kilometres per day in deliveries to local customers.
