UKMetroline, a bus company providing services in Greater London and southern Hertfordshire in the UK, has ordered a total of 87 electric buses from Volvo Buses and Wrightbus, set to enter service next year.

48 single deck buses, based on Volvo’s ‘BZL Electric’ chassis platform, will enter service in London. These vehicles, supplied in a mix of lengths (9.7m, 10.35m and 10.8m), feature bodywork from Egyptian body builder MCV, as per an agreement announced earlier this year. 39 double deck ‘StreetDeck Electroliner’ vehicles, built by Wrightbus, will operate on Routes 297 and 142 in the boroughs of Brent and Ealing and in southern Hertfordshire.
