Fruehauf France adds conveyor-belt tipping trailer to semi-trailer portfolio

Fruehauf SAFE-TIPP conveyor-belt tipping trailer

France – Fruehauf SAS, a manufacturer of semi-trailers and subsidiary of Poland’s Wielton Group based in Auxerre, France, has diversified its bulk material trailer range with the market introduction of the SAFE-TIPP tipper, conveyor-belt tipping trailer. The SAFE-TIPP trailer is equipped with an adjustable-speed central conveyor belt, which allows the bulk content such as sand, gravel, or asphalt, to be unloaded without tipping. The adjustable speed during unloading also makes it possible to adjust the desired material thickness when unloading. SAFE-TIPP is equipped with a sprayer on the inside of the body, allowing a non-stick product to be sprayed and to aid its movement to be distributed by the conveyor. A full trailer can be unloaded in just five minutes, Fruehauf claims. The hydraulically lifted and mechanically unlocking rear door allows users to limit its handling and thus permits for optimal safety when unloading the material.

Primarily designed for the construction industry, the new trailer, which is 9.2 metres in length and has an unladen weight of 7.75-tons, can transport up to 26m3 of materials. The first prototype model was unveiled for the first time a year ago at the 2021 Solutrans fair in Lyon, France.
