Omega to build vacuum trucks on Vicinity Motor electric chassis

Canada – Vicinity Motor Corp of Aldergrove, British Columbia has announced a partnership with Omega Liquid Waste Solutions Inc of Lévis, Quebec to upfit and resell Vicinity Class 3 electric trucks with aluminium tanks and vacuum truck hose reels for cleaning sewers, septic tanks, and grease traps.
Omega has acquired a VMC 1200 battery-electric truck which it will upfit for exhibition at the Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport Show, to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA between 20 and 23 February 2023. The company’s solid-liquid separation filtration system is fitted onto trucks along with tanker bodies for use in municipal water treatment. Following a successful demonstration, Omega plans to continue acquiring VMC 1200 trucks to upfit and sell to its North American customers.
