Aspöck launches new generation radar system for truck trailers

Austria – Aspöck Systems GmbH of Peuerbach, Austria is now offering an updated radar distance control that monitors the rear area of semi-trailers and drawbar trailers, known as the RADC 1.0. Compatible with vehicles that utilise an electronic brake system, RADC 1.0. monitors an area of up to 3 by 10 metres, designed for quick assembly and retrofitting.
Tested at the Horiba Mira proving ground in Nuneaton, UK, activation of the reverse gear of the tractor unit automatically triggers the system to monitor the rear area for rigid and moving objects. The product is now available for sale and delivery to customers in the coming weeks.
