Solaris receives order for 100 trolleybuses to Bucharest

Poland / Romania – Solaris Bus & Coach sp. z o.o. of Bolechowo, Poland has announced that, on 29 December, it signed a contract for the supply of 100 trolleybuses to Municipiul Bucuresti, or the Municipality of Bucharest in Romania, with delivery slated for the end of 2024.
Solaris was selected for a tender worth almost EUR60m. They are now committed to delivering 100 12-metre ‘Trollino’ buses, which will be fitted with 60-kWh providing up to 20 kilometres of autonomy before needing to reconnect to overhead cables. They will carry up to 90 passengers.
