Sweden / Lithuania – In December, Scania AB, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Södertälje, Sweden, agreed a partnership with Girteka Logistics UAB of Vilnius, Lithuania which would potentially see Scania delivering up to 600 battery-electric trucks to Girteka over the next four years.

Along with electric trucks, Scania will support Girteka in setting up the charging infrastructure required to power a large electric fleet. In addition, Scania has agreed to help Girteka with driver training, as part of what it calls Girteka’s “investment in its people”.
