ZF to build electronics and ADAS factory in southern China

Germany / ChinaZF Friedrichshafen AG, an automotive systems developer based in Friedrichshafen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, announced that, on 12 December, it signed an agreement with local authorities to build a factory in the Huadu District of Guangzhou, Guangdong, China for the manufacture of electronics and advanced driver assistance products. 

In the first phase of construction, ZF will build a 12,000-square-metre plant covering four product lines: advanced driver assistance systems, high performance computing, safety electronics, and chassis control. 700 people will be employed at the facility, which ZF claims will meet the highest “Industry 4.0” standards for automation, efficiency, and hygiene. The site will also comprise warehouses, offices, and laboratories for research and development.
