Production of Dunlop truck and bus tyres by Sumitomo Rubber do Brasil exceeds one million

Factory of Sumitomo Rubber do Brasil, it makes CV tyres under the Dunlop name

Brazil - Sumitomo Rubber do Brasil Ltda has announced it has now manufactured more than one million commercial vehicle tyres at its factory in Fazenda Rio Grande, in Paraná. (Dunlop and Falken are brands of Japan’s Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd of Kobe, Hyogo. The Brazilian subsidiary company was started in 2011 with tyre production in Fazenda Rio Grande starting in October 2013; while production of tyres for heavy vehicles started in 2019).

The company expects annual output to increase further following on-going investments – last year Sumitomo announced around BRA1.06 billion (USD 190 million) was allocated to expand the factory and to raise production levels to 2,200 heavy-duty truck tyres per day by 2025.
