USA – At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada between 5-8 January, HL Klemove of Incheon, South Korea and Sonatus Inc of Sunnyvale, California presented an automotive electronics and software controller and announced a long-term collaboration agreement.

Sonatus is a designer of vehicle data management applications which has ambitions to produce a digital platform which would negate the need for over-the-air software updates for automotives. With many vehicles containing “more than 100 million” lines of code, according to Sonatus, the time and resources expended on developing, validating and deploying such software updates will continue to grow significantly. With the ‘Sonatus Digital Dynamics’ platform, Sonatus proposes frequent and incremental tweaks to vehicle software by manufacturers and operators instead of over-the-air updates. Various management tools would enable customers to fine-tune and update their vehicles faster and cheaper, according to Sonatus.
