Alexander Dennis to supply 50 electric buses for Transport for Greater Manchester

UK – UK bus and coach operator, Transport for Greater Manchester, has selected bus manufacturer, Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) based in Larbert, Scotland, to supply a further 50 electric double-decker buses, doubling the total on order for the franchised Bee Network* bus system to 100. The additional 50 British-built BYD ADL Enviro400EV electric buses are scheduled to enter service in parts of Bury, Rochdale and Oldham when the second tranche of franchising launches there in April 2024.

Funded by the UK government’s City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement**, the vehicles are to be manufactured at ADL’s Scarborough-site for delivery in 2024.
