Solaris opens new storage facility at headquarters

New warehouse at Solaris' headquarters in Bolechowo, Poland

Poland – In its latest customer magazine, published at the end of last year, Solaris Bus & Coach sp. z o.o. announced the opening of a new warehouse at its headquarters in Bolechowo, Poland which will support the adjacent manufacturing facilities with the supply of parts and components.

The new building covers a surface area of 10,000m2 in the immediate vicinity of the company’s main factory. The warehouse provides greater storage space for the parts and components Solaris requires to assemble its buses and trolleybuses. Fittings inside the building include multi-level storage platforms and an automatic conveyor belt. Not all of the building is given over to storage; nearly a quarter is dedicated office and social space for Solaris employees. Fitted on the roof are 572 photovoltaic cells with a combined 260-kWp capacity. Charging stations with 80-kWp power were also installed at the site.
