Iveco presents E-Way electric bus in Uruguay as part of transition towards a cleaner portfolio of products for South America

IVECO presents E-Way electric bus in Uruguay
Uruguay / Argentina – December 2022 saw Iveco Argentina S.A., through Santa Rosa Automotores S.R.L of Montevideo, its Uruguayan authorized distributor, present the E-Way, Iveco’s purpose-built electric bus, to the local market. The model is to be made available in four different lengths (9.5m, 10.7m, 12m and 18m) with variable passenger capacities according to the purpose of use.
By presenting the E-Way, a fully built up European electric bus model from Iveco, marks a strategic change in direction from the traditional chassis supplier for the Iveco Group in South America. Marcio Querichelli, president of Iveco for Latin America, said the objective for the coming years was to expand the portfolio of products and services offered to customers in South America with a focus on customer profitability and reduction of harmful emissions in the urban environment.
