André Marques appointed president of Volvo Buses Latin América
Brazil – December 1, 2022, saw André Marques assume the presidency of Volvo Buses in Latin America, responsible for the brand's bus and coach business across South America.
Marques, an employee of the Volvo Group for some 25 years, was formerly Volvo's executive director in Colombia, having worked previously as Director of Product Development and Purchasing, as well as Director of Marketing and New Business. A mechanical engineer graduate from the Federal Technological University of Paraná, Brazil, and an MBA in Administration and Business from the Federal University of Paraná, Marques started his career at Volvo in 1997, as a product development engineer.
