Iveco Bus to provide up to 500 articulated electric city buses to Belgium

Belgium / Italy – Iveco Group NV, through its brand Iveco Bus, a commercial vehicle manufacturer based in Turin, has announced an order for up to 500 articulated E-WAY electric city buses to Flemish government-owned public transport operator De Lijn, over the next six years. The first 65 will be dispatched by Q1 2024. The framework agreement allows for a possible 435 more buses to be delivered, making it Iveco’s largest single order to date. The BEV allows for slow or fast charging using a pantograph, the 18m-long buses are equipped with a unique high-performance battery pack manufactured by FPT Industrial, at its plant in Turin.
