Brazilian truck production grows 1.9% in 2022

Brazil - Brazilian truck production increased by 1.9% in 2022, compared with the previous year. According to data from ANFAVEA (National Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers), based in São Paulo, 161,816 trucks were manufactured in 2022, against 158,810 vehicles in 2021. This good performance occurred even after a weak first semester, with production stoppages due to lack of components.

Gustavo Bonini, vice-president of ANFAVEA, highlighted that the areas of logistics, purchases and production faced their most challenging year, and despite this managed to increase the numbers of trucks built.
