Hino sets out operational reparation plans in response to emissions cover-up

Japan – Truck builder, Hino Motors Ltd of Tokyo, (a Toyota Motor Company subsidiary)  announced a new management structure as part of a broader reform programme being put in place in the wake of the engine emissions cover-up scandal that came to light last year.

The Japanese truck-maker was forced to recall an initial 21,000 trucks and buses last year and was ejected from the Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Corporation (CJPT) for issuing fraudulent engine testing certification over a period of at least two decades.
