UK / Germany – BMZ Group, a battery manufacturer for commercial vehicles, based in Karlstein am Main, Bavaria, Germany has announced a Euro 11 million deal with Puchheim-based Amada Weld Tech GmbH*, the European subsidiary of Amada Weld Tech Inc based in Monrovia, California, USA, to acquire welding systems for its battery production. This deal will help BMZ meet growing demand in the battery market, with welding as a key component in the battery manufacturing process. This coincides with January’s news that BMZ had invested in increased automation of its production lines in its factory.
