CaetanoBus receives order for 30 electric buses in Portugal

Portugal – Bus and coach manufacturer, CaetanoBus SA of Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, is to supply 30 e.City Gold electric buses to the Portuguese public transport operator, Carris, to be run in Lisbon by the end of the year. The EUR12.7 million order will be the second batch of e.City Gold e-buses for Carris, joining an existing 15 units in operation since 2019. This new batch has an upgraded battery allowing for a longer range than the previous generation. Siemens AG will provide the charging infrastructure in the form of 16 Sicharge UC 100 charging stations, also manufactured in Portugal.
