Mellor receives order for 42 Sigma buses from Sweden

UK / Sweden – Mellor Coachcraft Ltd of Rochdale, UK has received an order for 42 electric buses from Scandinavian transport operator Connect Bus AS to serve passengers on demand in Gothenburg, Sweden.
42 ‘Sigma 7’ buses will operate on the Västtrafik transport agency’s ‘Flex line’, a demand responsive transport service which passengers can order by phone across the city of Gothenburg. Mellor is a longstanding supplier to Connect Bus, which introduced ‘Orion E’ models into its fleets in March 2020. This latest order is the second which Mellor has received for the Sigma 7 from Sweden since their launch in December 2021.
