Volvo reports sales increase of 27% in 2022

SwedenAB Volvo, an automotive corporation based in Gothenburg, Sweden, has announced its results for 2022, which show that its net sales increased by 27% from SEK372.2bn in 2021 to SEK473.5bn.1 

Volvo’s adjusted operating income amounted to SEK50.5bn, providing an adjusted operating margin of 10.7%. This is a slight setback compared to 2021, when its income of SEK41bn provided a margin of 11%. The difference is greater with the unadjusted income: in 2022, Volvo earned SEK45.7bn compared to SEK43.1bn the year before, providing a margin of 9.7% compared to 11.6%.
