Ashok Leyland launches the 'Partner Super' – a new model range for the ICV segment

Chennai – Ashok Leyland Ltd of Chennai, has launched the ‘Partner Super’, a new truck model aimed at the intermediate commercial vehicle segment of 9 tons to 12 tons gvw. The new ICV truck platform is offered in three specific models of 914, 1014 and 1114 of 9.15-tonne, 10.25-tonne and 11.28-tonne gross vehicle weight (GVW) categories, respectively.
The Partner Super is powered by the Ashok Leyland ZD30 BS VI diesel engine offering an output power of 104 kW (140 hp) @ 2750 rev/min and maximum torque of 360 Nm @ 1350-2750 rev/min. It is matched with a manual Ashok Leyland 6-speed overdrive gearbox. The ladder chassis is fitted with a single speed rear drive axle with mechanical suspension front and rear. Four loading chassis lengths are offered of 4.3m (14 ft), 5.2m (17 ft), 6.2m (20 ft) and 6.8m (22 ft).
