India: LCV bus sales hits 30,278 units in April to December 2022-23

India - Sales of light-duty bus sales (7.5t & below) rose by 132.6% to 30,278 units in the threequarter fiscal year (April to December) of 2022-23 from 13,015 units in the same period of 2021. Production increased by 118.7% to over 31,500 units, while exports rose by 19.1%.
In the minibus segment with more than 13 seats (GVW ≤ 5 tons) sales were up by 91.0% to 10,558 units in first three quarters of 2022-23 from 5,529 units in the same period of 2021-22. Production increased modestly by comparison, up by 57.6%, while exports, by contrast, fell by 23.1%.
