Dr Martin Hofmann appointed as Volta Trucks’ Chief Technology and Information Officer

Sweden – Volta Trucks AB, a zero-emission truck manufacturer based in Stockholm, Sweden, has announced the appointment of Dr Martin Hofmann as Chief Technology and Information Officer, effective 1 May.
Hofmann joins the company from e-commerce software firm Salesforce, where he served as Senior Vice President. Previously, he held the position of Group Chief Information Officer at Volkswagen, taking responsibility for setting up Volkswagen’s cloud-based network and connecting its vehicles and factories to remote servers. He reportedly set up software development and technology centres in Portugal, Spain, and India, as well as in Silicon Valley.
