USA – At the Technology & Maintenance Council’s 2023 Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition (“TMC 2023”), held in Orlando, Florida between 28 February and 2 March, Volvo Group North America Inc of Greensboro, North Carolina launched a new service and maintenance contract for Volvo Trucks customers and announced an expanded range of digital tools for fleet management.

Volvo North America’s new service contract for its customers is called ‘Volvo Blue’. For a fixed fee, which can be spread over 60 months and bundled with a vehicle lease, customers are given access to remote diagnostics and programming services which update vehicle software over-the-air and identify potential faults with truck components. Vehicle data is sent automatically to the dealership or repair centre, which can schedule the truck for preventative maintenance and learn from diagnostic information before the truck arrives at the garage for repairs. These functions are intended to help both customers and dealers by reducing vehicle downtime and making maintenance and repair more efficient.
