USA – At the Technology & Maintenance Council Annual Meeting (TMC 2023) in Orlando, Florida between 27 February and 2 March, Pressure Systems International (“PSI”), a subsidiary of Clarience Technologies based in San Antonio, Texas, presented a new truck tyre sensor which allows fleets to remotely monitor tyre temperatures in real-time.

The ‘Digital ThermALERT’ is a modification of the standard analogue product which PSI has incorporated in its automatic tire inflation systems since 2017. ThermALERT monitors wheel-end temperatures and alerts the driver if these are rising to a dangerous level that could lead to damage, wheel loss, or fire. The new Digital ThermALERT can transmit data wirelessly, allowing fleet operators to remotely monitor tyre temperatures in real-time via a digital portal called ‘TireView LIVE’.
