Yutong receives 800-unit order for electric and CNG buses from Uzbekistan

Yutong buses delivered to Tashkent, Uzbekistan
China / Uzbekistan – Zhengzhou Yutong Group Co Ltd (“Yutong”) of Zhengzhou, Henan, China, has announced an order for 800 buses from Uzbekistan, comprising a mixture of battery-electric and compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles.
The order consists of 300 ‘Yuwei E12’ 12.2-metre electric buses and 500 CNG buses – an unspecified combination of 10.8m and 12.2m vehicles. The buses will be delivered in batches over the course of this year to the capital city of Tashkent. Yutong states it modified the electric buses to withstand the heat and dust of Tashkent, adapting the battery cooling system and adding protections to the battery pack and motor (à la the modifications made to the bus recently delivered to Saudi Arabia).
