New Eletra e-buses delivered to Salvador and Vitoria
Brazil - Eletra Industrial Ltda of São Bernardo do Campo - together with development partners, Mercedes-Benz do Brasil Ltda of Campinas, São Paulo, and Caio Induscar Indústria de Carrocerias Ltda (Caio) of Botucatu, State of São Paulo - has supplied eight 12.5-metre fully electric buses for the BRT system in Salvador, the capital of Bahia State.
The eBus Eletra features Mercedes-Benz O 500 U chassis fitted with an electric powertrain by Eletra comprising WEG electric motor, inverter and batteries and a CIAO Millennium body, which can accommodate up to 72 passengers.
