55% of Solaris vehicles sold in 2022 had alternative drives

Poland – In 2022, Solaris Bus & Coach sp. z o.o. of Bolechowo, Poland sold 1,492 vehicles, of which 55% were fitted with alternative drivelines, according to sales figures presented during an online press conference on 14 March. 

Total unit sales in 2022 exactly match those the company reported for 2021. However, the proportion of vehicles sold with electric, hydrogen and hybrid drives (including trolleybuses) increased from 41% to over half (55% - 823 versus 669 units with internal combustion engines). This is the first time in the company’s history that buses with alternative drives have outsold conventional ones.
