The new Phillips Industries 500,000 square-foot facility in Arteaga, Mexico

Mexico / USA – March saw Phillips Industries Inc of Santa Fe Springs, California, open a 500,000-square-foot facility in Arteaga, Mexico, responsible for producing Phillips Industries* and Phillips Connect** products to service the North American Commercial Vehicle (CV) market. Employing 2,100 staff, the new facility predominantly produces electrical and air brake system components and telematics products for the CV industry.

Phillips Industries has seen an expansion of its OEM customer base and has subsequently moved its entire manufacturing operation to this new facility in Arteaga. In order to meet this increased demand, the company says it has purchased new manufacturing equipment, including three new high-speed wire and cable extruders, 36 new injection moulding machines and various other applicators.
