ADL offers UK bus operators, vehicle refurbishment, at the click of a button

ADL's vehicle refurbishment in the UK

UK – UK bus fleet operators are choosing to further extend the lives of their vehicles with refurbishment bookings through AD24, ADL’s (Alexander Dennis Ltd based in Larbert) digital aftermarket software.

In March, the company announced it has been seeing a noticeable increase in refurbishment work of buses at its two specialist sites in Harlow (Essex) and Anston (Yorkshire). The reasons for this, ADL suggests, is a combination of an opportunity to extend a vehicle’s lifespan (perhaps due to underutilisation of the vehicle during the Covid-19 pandemic) and a delay in government funding for new vehicles. The company said that panel works, paintwork, localised floor repairs, seat repairs, interior lighting and changes to the driver’s area for driver protection are the most common works undertaken.
