Sany launches electric mixer truck in Hong Kong

China - Sany Heavy Industry Company Ltd, a manufacturer of heavy construction vehicles and equipment based in Changsha in China’s Hunan province, has announced delivery of its first battery-powered cement mixer truck to Alliance Construction Materials Limited in Hong Kong.
The company said it has also obtained EU type approval certification (WVTA) for the all-electric mixer truck, paving the way for exports to the region. The company claims the electric mixer is more powerful and quieter than its diesel equivalent and more environmentally friendly. It is driven by a 282kWh battery pack that can be fully charged in 1.5 hours, giving it a range of up to 180 km. The cab has a more spacious layout with smart features.
