Alexander Dennis (ADL) has announced it is to offer its own in-house integrated battery electric city buses in single and double deck form from late 2023. The first ten new integral battery electric Enviro500EV double decks are to be delivered to KMB in Hong Kong.

EV Dynamics will hold a 14% ownership stake in the German electrification retrofit company, with which it is collaborating in the development of EV components.

An order for 56 Enviro500 three-axle double deck buses from Alexander Dennis Ltd of Larbert, UK by Hong Kong’s largest bus operator, The Kowloon Motor Bus Co (1933) Ltd (KMB) has resulted in orders of the current generation model (launched in 2012) to exceed 2,500 units.
